The EWPA (Elevating Work Platform Association of Australia Incorporated) is the peak representative body of the access industry. Their members include rental companies, manufacturers, suppliers, end-users, trainers and specialised support and service companies that cover the full spectrum of this industry. There have been over 180000 Yellow Cards issued in Australia since the early 1980's.

The EWPA Duty of Care training program "Yellow Card" is recognised nationally by the industry and was developed by the EWPA in consultation with members, industry, regulators and training organisations. The intention of this program is to assist operators, employers, equipment owners and manufacturers in complying with the O H & S Regulations and Australian Standard AS2550 part 10: Mobile Elevating Work Platforms.

It confirms that the operators of specific types of EWPs have been trained in the safe use of the work platform.

The supplier, employer and user all have documentary evidence that the required duty of care  has been met or exceeded.
